This Hilton Points Purchase promotion has ended, however, you can still purchase Hilton points.
Hilton is at it again, selling points at a discount. Even though they are for more likely to offer heavily discounted rates like their recent sale of 40% off on rooms in Japan, South Korea, and Guam, or even their 20% off bookings that went up two weeks ago, they still run point sales. When it comes to points bonuses, you'll often see promos where you earn points on purchases and stays at their properties, as they did with last week with their 5000-point bonus to bookings made with any visa cards.
Hilton allows its members to purchase up to 160,000 points per year, selling points for $.01 per point. With a 100% bonus, this deal drops the price per point to 0.5 cents, which is as near as you can get to the estimated book value of the points. The offer is running through December 5, 2016.
At this price, the points can be leveraged for some good deals, since you can redeem Hilton points from as low as 5,000 points per night. And if you have Elite status, giving you a free fifth night, the average cost for a five-night stay is 4,000 points or $22, which is a very good value.
Other ways to bulk up on Hilton points
While purchasing the points is a great way to bulk up on Hilton points, there are some other great offers out there. Overall, if you want to bulk up on Hilton points without signing up for a new credit card, you can’t go wrong with jumping in and purchasing some now.
