UPDATE: With recent updates to the Honors program, Hilton has finished its move to a dynamic award pricing system without an award chart.

Hilton Honors makes quarterly adjustments to their award prices for a standard room night. The most recent updates are effective October 12, 2016. 21 properties will go up in category/price, while 33 will be dropping. Looking at it from a broader perspective, the award rate increases and decreases are relatively mundane, and you will be happy to know that most hotels only saw modest changes to award pricing.

The majority of hotels experiencing a decrease in rates are in Turkey and for a good reason. Although Turkey is hailed as a mega tourist destination, there is no denying the country is going through a rough patch with political instability and the recent coup attempt. The turmoil has unfortunately destabilized the nation’s tourism prospects for the foreseeable future.

The Bottom Line

If you’re traveling to Turkey for the holidays or plan to travel to the country in the future, booking a room at the Hilton may save you a bit with your expenses. However, you should expect the same level of quality, service, and hospitality the hotels are reputed and renowned for throughout the globe.
