According to the eligibility criteria, the promo is targeted, and only members who receive a direct communication with the promo are eligible. However, the promotion registration page is available to all.

250 Bonus SPG Points with Mobile Check-In

SPG has announced a promo where you can earn 250 bonus Starpoints when you check-in via the SPG mobile app. Mobile check-in is available when you book directly with SPG, through the website, or via the mobile app. About 72 to 48 hours prior to your stay you will be notified if you want to check-in via the mobile app. Once you have, on the day of your stay you will receive a notification when your room is ready, and your key is at the front desk.

Russia Waives Visa Requirements for World Cup Ticket Holders

Russia has announced a visa waiver for the 2018 World Cup. According to a statement on the website of the Russian embassy in Washington DC, if you hold a valid match ticket, fan ID, and passport you will be able to enter the Russian Federation without a visa. The program is not restricted to citizens of the 32 participating countries, and the holder of a match ticket from any country can use the visa waiver program.

Chase Eliminating Price and Return Protection on Credit Cards

When we reviewed the best credit cards for Price Protection, Chase cards came out on top. Sadly this will no longer be the case. Chase has quietly eliminated Price Protection and Return Protection from nearly all of its cards. When you visit the landing page of most Chase cards and click on Service & protection or Travel & purchase coverage, you will no longer see either benefit listed as a card feature.
