JetBlue to Trial Facial Recognition for Boarding

Technology is making inroads into the way we move around airports. The latest airline to announce an innovative change is JetBlue, which announced that they will be testing a new paperless and device-less boarding process. The latest announcement comes hot on the heels of Delta announcing a similar test, and KLM announcing another scheme earlier in the year

Delta to Introduce Biometrics for Boarding and Lounge Access

Delta has announced that they will be introducing a Biometrics trial at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The new biometric boarding pass will eventually let passengers use their fingerprint to gain access to the Delta Sky Club, check a bag and board a flight. It is hoped that eventually biometrics will consign paper and mobile boarding passes to aviation history.

United Adds New Transcon Route and Improves Amenities

United is bringing a slew of changes to its transcon business, including a new premium transcon route, and improving amenities in Business class and Economy Plus. In its press release, United confirmed that the Summer of 2017 will add the Boston to San Francisco route as a premium service route.
