There's a new offer for double points or a $50 credit on bookings made with your Priceline VIP Rewards™ Visa® Card. These offers apply to rental car bookings and cruises booked over the next few months, giving you plenty of time to plan and book. Let's take a look at the details of these new offers for extra rewards.
Double Rewards on Rental Cars With the Priceline VIP Rewards Visa
Normally, those with the Priceline VIP Rewards Visa earn 5X on bookings made with Priceline. However, you'll earn double that amount on “Pay Now” rental car reservations with Avis and Budget. That means 10 points per dollar. Priceline points are worth 1¢ each toward future bookings, so this equates to a 10% return on spending.
The terms say bonus earnings do not apply to Pay Later or Package bookings. This offer is valid through September 30, 2024.
$50 Cruise Reward With the Priceline VIP Rewards Visa
If you use your Priceline VIP Rewards Visa to book a cruise via Priceline's website or mobile app, you'll earn a $50 Cruise Reward. This purchase credit is available on new reservations booked between March 4 and September 4, 2024.
Other offers may be added to your cruise booking; details are available here. Incentives can include a complimentary third guest, onboard spending credits, discounts, and more. These should stack with the $50 Cruise Reward offer from paying with your eligible Priceline credit card.
Our Take
These promotions can be useful for those who hold the Priceline VIP Rewards Visa. However, that may be a small number of people. It's worth considering whether paying for your upcoming travel with one of the best travel rewards cards might fare better, providing rewards with flexible uses, built-in travel protections, and letting you book however you wish, rather than needing to use a specific website.
However, double points and $50 that could stack with other offers are decent promotions that you might be happy to find if you have the Priceline VIP Rewards Visa.
