US Airways and American Airlines are offering a bonus of up to 30% for sharing AAdvantage or Dividend miles.
From the AA terms and conditions page: “AAdvantage members must complete a share transaction beginning 7:00 am CT February 26, 2015, to 11:59:59 pm CT March 25, 2015 to be eligible for a discount. Discount applies to the mileage transfer cost and does not apply toward the $20 transaction processing charge.”
US Airways has the same terms and conditions as American Airlines.
Buying/sharing airline miles when there's a bonus can be a good deal if you regularly pay for revenue seats, need to keep miles active, combine miles, or need miles to top off your account for an upcoming booking.
